The Donald Trump biography. Donald John Trump was born June 14, 1946 in New York, New York. His father was Fred Trump, a real
estate developer, whom Donald viewed as his mentor.
He joined his father's business after studying at Wharton Business School and worked for him for five years. Donald then decided that
he want to go bigger than his father and moved to Manhattan. Though he didn't have a lot of money at that stage, his negotiation skills
got him accepted into a very exclusive club. This gave him the access to power and money that he needed to start his real estate empire.
The Donald Trump property holdings include some very prestigious Manhattan addresses like Trump Tower on 5th Avenue, Trump Parc,
Trump Palace, Trump Plaza and 610 Park Avenue. He is also the owner of the West Side Rail Yards and this is in the process of being developed
to the tune of $5 billion. Other properties and holdings include several hotels and casinos in various places including Atlantic City and
Miami.
Despite his incredible wealth and deal making skills, the recession of the early 90's hit him hard as he was overstretched on debt. He
couldn't make his debt payments and had to sell several assets to make payments. His business was bankrupted and personally he was very close
to bankruptcy. He, however, never lay down and got back on his feet to amass another fortune.
More recently he bought the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss USA Teen Beauty Pageants and also stars in his own reality TV show, The
Apprentice. He even briefly considered running for President as the Reform Party candidate during 2000, but these plans fell through after
the party disintegrated.
He is also an accomplished writer and has several books that might be of interest to you. The first was
