Use Site Build It for less hassle in having a web site
If you checked out my previous attempt at website building (if you haven't checked it out yet, you can do so now by clicking
here
) you would have noticed that I weren't that good.
From the time that I put the counter on there, till the time I put this link in this site, I had a total of 310 visits to my home page. Not an awful lot if you consider that most of that were my own visits as I checked up on my site (and that counter have been up there upwards of two years).
How many of you can say that you have tried doing something on the web and know the familiar feeling I had that somehow this is not working?
Well, I was discouraged from the web for a long time. Instead I was focussing on increasing my financial literacy offline. Then, somehow, I stumbled across Site Build It. Okay; stumbled might not be the right word. In fact, I was looking for something on 'rat race' (not the movie) for a Toastmasters speech I was researching and I came across a forum where a guy asked a question to the forum: "What do you successful AM's do when you're finished with the rat race?" (Or something similar). I was perplexed by that term AM - another UA (unknown acronym).
With some further digging, it turned out that it stands for Affiliate Marketing. And, as all newbies to anything do, I googled it and came across the
Site Build It page.
What is Site Build It? In short, it is the website building, -hosting and -marketing tool I have used to create this site. It is available to buy for $299. That's a LOT of money and most of us don't have that lying around and neither did I. But I made a plan and got my site started using this tool.
This is NOT a get rich quick scheme. In fact, immediately after I bought the product, I was $395 poorer (the old price - one of the few companies that continually improves the product and still make it cheaper). But
Sitesell
(the company that markets Site Build It) did not disappear after it got my money. Well, I thought, if they will stick around, so will I.
I used the Action Guide provided and slowly started building this site. It was hard work (did I mention that this is not get rich 'quick'?) and I'm still working on it as you've probably noticed.
Sitesell recommends that you choose a topic about which you feel passionate. Not passionate about anything? How about hobbies? What are the words that someone can mention that will make you sit up and listen attentively? In my case it is when I hear discussion on financial freedom, money problems, businesses and investing. Each of us are unique (just like everyone else ;)) and what you are passionate about might likely differ from what I'm passionate about. Whatever it is, Site Build It can help you build a website around it. Have the thought ever occurred to you that you could like work? Before I came across Site Build It I didn't think so, but now I have changed my opinion.
For different topics, you can view the (relatively) independent reviews of Site Build It and Site Build It sites on
Mikino.
Yes, I've had my share of problems using Site Build It. First, it did not want to connect to the 'supply site' used in researching potentially profitable topics. Neither did it want to register my domain name. Apparently, the firewall of the company where I worked was at fault. But like any good go-getter, I did not let such meagre hurdles trip me (wow, did I not sound great there!? :)). We figured I'd have to use another Internet connection (and stop wasting my company's time). So I did.
With Site Build It, Sitesell walks you through the process of
C-T-P-M
(content, traffic, pre-sell and monetize). And only after you have the content and the traffic and pre-selling, can you expect to monetize.
So if you have got some interest or hobby or maybe a small business for which you want to establish a web presence, Site Build It may be for you. Can they help you as they helped me? There is only one more thing to do - see the
proof.
