The Road Not Taken -
Robert Frost

Wow - how I wish I could say that - even with a sigh. When I look back upon my life somewhere in the future that I can say I took the path less travelled by.

Each day we face so many choices and to make the right choice is not always easy. Indeed, the right choice is often the harder choice and the one that gets chosen less. You must not always follow the crowd - go where few has gone before.

So take a look back at your life. Is your life, the path you have taken before, different from the path that everyone else is on? Really? Mine isn't. And every new day I am faced with the same choice - do I do what others do, or do I make my own destiny on an uncertain path?

The poem: The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
